ISEP 2019 - "Internet of Things in Intelligent Transport Systems and Services"

The Slovenian ITS Association, under the umbrella of the Electrotechnical Association of Slovenia is organising the 27^th International Symposium on Electronics in Transport – ISEP which promotes a strategic objective of integrating and strengthening the European Research Area in Slovenia as well as in the other member States and nearby countries in South Eastern Europe.

The theme of the 2019 Symposium is “IoT in ITS”. This theme brings focus to the importance of recent activities in the area of connected mobility while “things” and people are getting more and more connected. Infrastructure, vehicles and people are possessing different type of sensors and especially in urban areas they could inform us about traffic and environment conditions, energy consumption etc. Besides infrastructure sensors, users of intelligent transport systems and services are becoming sensors too by using personal communication devices. In addition, in-vehicle systems have the potential to enlarge data related to mobility.
